It has been so darn cold here in Ruby. Today it has warmed up just a little bit. This afternoon the temp has reached 31. Terry, Mia and I have been trying to walk every day after the school bus runs. Some days we miss. The other day, it was just Terry and I. When I checked the temp to see how many layers to put on it said -8. I added an extra hat and better gloves and away we went. We went about .75 miles in the fog (our glasses were fogged up too) and decided to turn around. We didn't go yesterday, when it wasn't quite as cold. Sometimes I think I am nuts. It does make the day go better to get out and walk in the morning. Hopefully we can keep it up.
We have started into basketball season here. Tyrel's first game was last night. The team played really well. I can't believe those guys can run for that long with very few timeouts, and not many subs. Ruby had 1 sub last night. They won their game. Steve and I went and saw True Grit. I can't make up my mind if I liked it more than the original or not.
I need to get some sewing done. I have lots of projects in progress, and some more that I want to start. Next thursday will be the last meeting of the year for the tnt sewing day. I have quite a bit to finish before that day so I can get the last border on and get the thing quilted and finished. I also want to hand quilt a small lap quilt this year. I need to get going on that project too.
Big news for the family. Lance and Sierra are expecting their 3rd child in June. The word is out now, so I can tell. The addition will bring the number of grandkids for Steve and I to 7.
